Missions

Parkview encourages contributions to missions year-round, with a special focus given to some missions during certain seasons.  These contributions are in the form of time, talents and money.

International Missions
Lottie Moon Christmas Offering
An international missions offering named for a devoted Southern Baptist missionary who labored thirty-nine years so that people of China could come to know Jesus.

Louisiana Baptist Children's Home
The Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home and Family Ministries provides residential childcare, foster family care, professional Christian counseling through the Granberry Counseling Centers, maternity care for young unwed girls and adoption services through Sellers Maternity Ministries.  We support them through a annual food drive and our VBS children give their offering to support the Children's Home.

Nicaragua Missions
We currently have a two-fold missions emphasis to Nicaragua.  First, we collect an offering year round that goes to buy food and vitamins for needy families. And, secondly, we encourage different teams to go on medical and construction mission trips to the country.

North American Missions
Annie Armstrong Easter Offering
This offering, named in honor of WMU’s first corresponding secretary and crusader for home missions, supports missionaries and their ministries in North America.

State Missions
Georgia Barnette State Missions Offering
Named after a compassionate leader of the Louisiana WMU, this annual offering collected in September focuses on mission work in Louisiana.
