Click on the "Get Acrobat
Reader" button above. This will take
you to the Adobe site.
On the Adobe Acrobat
Reader page, scroll down to the
section that shows the three steps for downloading.
Step 1:
A.
Language: English should be chosen for you. If not, select it from
the dropdown list.
B.
Platform: This is the type of operating system you have (Windows 95, 98,
etc.). Select the option that fits your computer.
C. Connection Speed: Select either dial-up or
broadband.
Step 2: Uncheck both boxes.
Step 3: Click on
the red download button.
The "File
Download" box will appear. Select "Run this program from its
current location" button. Then click OK.
The download process
will begin.
When the download
completes, most everyone will get a "Security Warning" box.
Select the "Always trust content from Adobe Systems, Inc." box.
Then click OK.
The "Acrobat Reader Setup" window and box will appear. Click
"Next" to continue.
The "Choose Destination
Location" box appears. Accept the default location by click
"Next".
This will install the Adobe
Acrobat Reader program.
Click "OK" on the
box that says "Thank you for choosing Acrobat Reader!"
Adobe Acrobat Reader is now
installed. Close all programs and restart your computer before doing
anything else. This will complete the installation.
